Still Have Questions?

Our Tanzania safari specialists are ready to help you choose the right destinations, accommodation and travel schedule.

01 When is the best time to take a wildlife safari in Tanzania?

Tanzania offers rewarding wildlife experiences throughout the year. The drier months are popular for general game viewing, while the greener months offer lush landscapes, excellent birdlife and seasonal wildlife activity. The best period depends on the parks you want to visit and your preferred experience.

02 Which Tanzania safari destinations should I visit?

Popular Northern Tanzania destinations include Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park. The best combination depends on your available time, travel dates, interests and preferred safari pace.

03 How many days do I need for a Tanzania safari?

A short safari may take three or four days, while six to eight days provides more time to explore several parks comfortably. Longer itineraries allow additional game drives, a more relaxed pace and possible Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro or cultural extensions.

04 Can my Tanzania safari itinerary be customized?

Yes. Your destinations, accommodation, activities, travel dates and daily pace can be adjusted around your interests, group size, comfort preference and budget.

05 Are your wildlife safaris private or shared?

Most itineraries can be arranged as private safaris with your own professional guide and 4×4 safari vehicle. Shared or small-group departures may also be available for selected routes and dates.

06 What wildlife might I see during the safari?

Depending on the destination and season, you may encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, antelopes, primates and numerous bird species. Wildlife moves naturally, so specific sightings cannot be guaranteed.

07 Will I see the Great Migration?

Your safari route can be planned around the expected seasonal location of the migration herds. However, herd movement depends on rainfall, water and grazing conditions, so exact herd locations and river crossings cannot be guaranteed.

08 What accommodation options are available?

You can choose from budget-conscious camps, mid-range lodges, tented camps, upper-range properties and luxury accommodation. Different comfort levels can also be combined within one itinerary.

09 What is normally included in the safari price?

A safari quotation may include private safari transport, a professional guide, accommodation, listed meals, park fees, crater services, game drives and drinking water during safari activities. Your final proposal will confirm every included and excluded service.

10 What type of safari vehicle will we use?

Safaris are normally operated in specially prepared 4×4 vehicles with comfortable seating, large windows and a raised viewing roof. Private vehicles provide greater flexibility for wildlife viewing, photography and rest stops.

11 Is a Tanzania safari suitable for families?

Yes. Family safaris can include child-friendly accommodation, flexible game drives and suitable room arrangements. Some lodges and activities may apply minimum-age conditions.

12 Can I combine my safari with Zanzibar or Kilimanjaro?

Yes. We can combine a wildlife safari with a Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru climb, a Zanzibar beach holiday, cultural experiences or another Tanzania extension.
